The tennis lessons are delivered as part of the Federal Government Sporting Schools Program, an initiative designed to help schools increase children’s participation in sport and connect them with community sport opportunities. In 2023 Aitken Creek Primary School was awarded Tennis Australia’s prestigious Newcombe Medal in recognition of its school tennis program, which has been delivered in collaboration with Hume Tennis for the past 7 years.
