***Special Release***  5 week COVID Tournament Series

After close to 8 months of no tennis tournaments in Victoria due to the Covid pandemic, Hume Tennis are delighted to announcement the return of 5 NEW Junior Tennis Tournaments through November and December…….

As part of the Melbourne Junior Tennis Pathway Tournament Series the tournaments will give players a chance to prepare for the newly released 2021 Tournament Calendar.

COVID Special 5-week Series

With the Covid lockdown finishing, Hume has put together a 5-week Junior Tournament schedule through November and December, for juniors to get some competitive tennis before the start of the 2021 tournament’s season.

The tournament is part of the Melbourne Junior Tennis Pathway Series and will be held on Saturday afternoons – to enter see below.

Tennis AustraliaJunior Tour (Australian Ranking Points)

Are an umbrella tour that provides a clear competitive pathway for aspiring tennis players.  The JT tournaments offer Australian Ranking points across 4 levels, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. These tournaments offer points across the 12/u, 14/u and 16/u age groups. Two world-class locations – One amazing tournament series.

An exciting NEW Melbourne junior tennis tournament series for 2019.  Purposely designed to give developing junior players regular tennis tournament competition.

Consisting of 20 junior tournaments, players will compete against their own age and sex, under the supervision of Tennis
Australia recognised Tournament Directors and Coaches.

To be played at two of Melbourne’s world-class tennis venues:

Melbourne Park (Home of the Australian Open)
Location: Olympic Blvd, Melbourne, Entrance D

Hume Tennis and Community Centre (Winner 2017 Tournament of the Year).

ITF Melbourne Wheelchair Open

Each year in January, Hume hosts the ITF Melbourne Wheelchair Tennis Open, this sees the best men and women wheelchair tennis players in the world compete prior to playing the Australian Open. In 2020 all of the Top 10 men and  and 8 of the top 10 women players competed at Hume.

Tennis AustraliaAustralian Money Tournaments (AMT)

AMTs are semi-professional tournaments introduced by Tennis Australia.  They are designed to create quality matchplay opportunities and help with the transition for post junior athletes. AMTs consist of: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze tournaments – based on prize money levels.  To allow for the preservation and integrity of the Tennis Australia brand, a set of controlled delivery requirements has been aligned to each tier. Hume is proud to host multiple Australian Money Tour Events as well as ONE International Tennis Federation Tournament: Melbourne Wheelchair Tennis Open.
