Night Tennis

Hume Tennis Centre is involved in the local North Suburban Night Tennis Association (NSNTA). The competition sees players compete in teams that are standard-based. The competition is played on Tuesday nights (ladies), Wednesdays (mixed), and Thursdays (men).

• Each season comprises 14 weeks of home-and-away matches, plus 2 weeks of finals.
• Each team includes 4 players on the night (2 men and 2 females for mixed), and players on the team will play on a rotational basis.
• Each player will play a set of up to 6 games with each of their teammates on the night.
• At the end of the night’s play, the home team is responsible for providing light refreshments for all players.

Night Competition is open to everyone and no yearly membership is required, pay as you play…..

Ladies Competition (NSLTA)

Hume Tennis Centre is involved in the local North Suburban Ladies Tennis Association (NSNTA). The competition sees players compete in teams that are standard based. The competition is played on Thursday mornings.

• Each season comprises of 14 weeks of home-and-away matches, plus 2 weeks of finals.
• Each team includes 5 players each round, and players on the team will play on a rotational basis.
• Each player will play a set of up to 6 games with each of their teammates in the morning.
• At the end of the day’s play, the home team is responsible for providing light refreshments for all players.

NSLTA is open to all ladies and no yearly membership is required, pay as you play…..

Victorian Senior Pennant

Hume Tennis Centre each year has representation in Victorian Senior Pennant – women’s and men’s teams.  The competition starts each year in April and is played through the Winter months. Entry for Victorian Senior Pennant is due by the middle of February.

Tennis Victoria’s Pennant competition is the largest inter-club competition in the country with 500 teams registered for the 2018 season. Tennis Victoria Pennant is the longest-running and still Australia’s largest inter-club competition.

Victorian Premier League

Tennis Victoria Premier League is the state’s highest-level inter-club competition in which clubs battle it out for a total prize money pool of $20,000 in the men’s and women’s competitions.

Hume ‘Hurricanes’ welcomes any new player to register their interest at reception via email or phoning reception.

Sunday Morning and Wednesday Night Social Tennis

Sunday morning from 10.30 am / Wednesday nights 7.30-9.00 pm

Looking to play some more tennis?? Come down and enjoy a casual fun game of tennis and meet other tennis players who love having a hit. The social tennis is hosted by Glen, who is the friendliest man in the world, and he will make sure you play against similar-level players and have a great time. Come as an individual, or with a friend, or bring your family. No ongoing commitment, the cost is just $10 for Wednesday or Sunday.
