Festival of Tennis – something for the whole family..

A great way to find out about all the tennis action this season at Hume Tennis and Community Centre’s is to come to the Festival of Tennis which begins on Saturday 21st October to Saturday 28th October.

16 courts with a cafe, pro-shop and 1st class amenities makes Hume a tennis players paradise.

With Hot Shots for the under 10’s, Tennis Xpress for the adults plus loads of competition and social activities throughout the week – this is the perfect way to get into tennis at the club.

Making new friends are big part about tennis

Hume Tennis and Community Centre is a Craigieburn Tennis Club and has been  named as a finalist in the 2017 Tennis Victoria Awards – “Club of the Year”.  The Club has also been shortlisted in “Tournament of the Year” for it’s Melbourne Wheelchair Tennis Open which sees the best wheelchair players from around the world play at Hume.

Hume’s Tennis Coaches are some of the best in Australia and have won the prestigious Newcombe Medal, a national award that recognises  a coaches contribution to ANZ Hot Shots Tennis (under 10’s). With lessons 7 days a week – Hot Shots is the best way to introduce children to tennis.

Are you looking for some competition play then Hume has something for all levels of players – FAST 4, ladies, mens and juniors competition happens most days of the weeks.

Club Memberships are very popular and what makes Hume unique is members can design their own membership to how they wish to play. Hume is also the only club in the region that has the Book-A-Court system that allows members and non-members to access the courts online.

Wheelchair Tennis is learnt and played every Saturday afternoon from 1.30pm. Hume Tennis is the 1st Wheelchair Hub to be set up by Tennis Australia and offers new and current players the chance to come and play each Saturday.

If tennis is not your thing – then why not try Yoga on a Saturday morning. Our Yoga instructor Sandra holds a weekly class from 9am-10am. It is a great way to kick off the weekend.

Mini Maestro – each week in conjunction with Tennis Whiz is a popular preschool program and is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.

Hume Tennis and Community has dance classes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. Fusion One are a dance company and their website can be viewed HERE
