Hume Tennis & Community Centre

Hume Tennis nominated for Tennis Victoria ‘Club of the Year’ 2020/21

Hume Tennis & Community Centre is proud to be announced as a finalist in Tennis Victoria’s ‘Club/Centre of the Year’ Award for 2020/21.

The awards presentation is on Tuesday 19th October from 7pm and for the first time will be streamed online so members and tennis friends will be able to watch along.

Hume Tennis being named as a finalist is recognition of the the work we have done in innovating and adapting to the changing environment over the past 18 months. The Covid safe protocols and programs that we have been put in place have subsequently seen many new (and returning) families embrace tennis as a covid-safe recreation. We have worked diligently with Tennis Victoria and Hume City Council to ensure members and players have the confidence to know the tennis centre is a safe place to visit and exercise.

We are also excited that neighbouring school, Aitken Creek Primary School has been shortlisted as a finalist for “School of the Year”. Under the dedicated guidance of Joe Muscari (Aitken Creek Primary School) the school’s tennis program sees every child enjoy 5-weeks of tennis lessons every year. Joe also introduced online tennis programs with the assistance of Hume coach Daniel Massa through Covid lockdowns.
