It’s been a huge month at Hume Tennis & Community Centre, with two of our standout junior players earning prestigious representative opportunities — a reward for their commitment, talent, and love for the game.
Jocelyn Goes Global
Jocelyn Jia, one of Hume’s rising stars, has been selected by Tennis Australia to travel to Europe, where she’ll compete in three elite international tournaments against some of the best 12 & under players in the world.
Her coach at Hume, Aaditya Tewari, couldn’t be prouder:
“Jocelyn has worked incredibly hard throughout the year to improve her game. She’s dedicated on and off the court, and to now have the opportunity to travel to Europe and compete at this level is an amazing reward for all her effort. It’s an incredible opportunity, and we know she’ll represent Hume and Australia with pride.”
Gavy Represents Victoria
Meanwhile, Gavy Dhindsa is preparing to head to the Gold Coast, where he will represent Victoria in the National Teams Championships. Gavy continues to impress with his consistency, skill, and dedication to every training session and match.
His coach, Tim Connelly, shared:
“Gavy is currently the number one ranked boy in Victoria for his birth year. His love and passion for the game is something that really sets him apart. He lives and breathes tennis, and it’s that drive that makes him such a strong competitor and role model for younger players.”
