Are an umbrella tour that provides a clear competitive pathway for aspiring tennis players.  The JT tournaments offer a points race to the end of year DECEMBER SHOWDOWN. These tournaments offer points across the 12/u, 14/u, and 16/u age groups. See below for our next scheduled tournament.

Melbourne Junior Tennis Pathways Series (MJTPS)

Consisting of 9 junior tournaments, players will compete against their own age, under the supervision of Tennis Australia’s recognised Tournament Directors and Coaches.

UTR Junior & Open (Play With The PRO’S)

Consisting of 7 exciting tournaments, the UTR Junior & Open – Play with Pros Series gives

players the unique opportunity to compete alongside the UTR Pro Tennis Tour.
Players will play in their respective categories while experiencing a professional tournament environment. This format allows juniors to watch pro players in action, learn from their routines, and gain valuable exposure to high-level competitive tennis.

Green Ball Series (GBS)

The 5-Tournament Green Ball Series at Hume offers young players regular competitive match play in a fun and supportive environment.
As part of the Victorian Green Ball Series, these 10/U events allow players to earn GBS points toward statewide rankings.
Points contribute to qualification for State Finals, Super 10’s Trials, and 10/U Green Ball Nationals, supporting the junior development pathway.

(Junior Development Series and Hot Shots Matchplay)

Hot Shot Tournament (under 12) series for Red, Orange, and Green level players. MFT events are a great way for children to try out competitive tennis in a round-robin format, where they get plenty of matches in a friendly and fun environment. See below for the tournament schedule.

ITF Melbourne Wheelchair Open

Each year in January, Hume hosts the ITF Melbourne Wheelchair Tennis Open, which sees the best men and women wheelchair tennis players in the world compete prior to playing the Australian Open. In 2020, all of the Top 10 men and 8 of the top 10 women players competed at Hume.

Open Series (Old AMT)

Open events are semi-professional tournaments introduced by Tennis Australia.  They are designed to create quality matchplay opportunities and help with the transition for post-junior athletes. To allow for the preservation and integrity of the Tennis Australia brand, a set of controlled delivery requirements has been aligned to each tier. Hume is proud to host multiple open events.
